Reporting Pupil Progress

You will receive a WRITTEN REPORT Once a year – in July And a shorter INTERIM REPORT in Spring

You will also be invited to a

PARENTS’ CONSULTATION EVENING

When you will be able to meet subject teachers

Early in the year you will also have the opportunity to meet with your child’s Form Tutor during the daytime. At this time you will be able to find out how he/she is settling in to her/his new school.

SCHOOL + HOME

must work together in

PARTNERSHIP

for your child to succeed

We will report on your child's progress twice a year. In November of Year 7 your child will be given a target level your child should be capable of achieving, in every subject, by the end of Key Stage 3 (Year 9), if they work hard and have good attendance. These target levels will be shared with you and we will regularly report on your child's progress towards them.

Targets will be reviewed and revised annually as appropriate, and your child will be challenged to progress beyond the Year 9 Key Stage 3 target level.

 ATTAINMENT PROGRESS

This will be reported in one of 3 ways as shown below:

Pupils gaining a (+) or (=) for attainment should be praised. (X) for attainment progress gives cause for concern.

These grades will give you an indication of your child's attitude to learning and where improvement (if any) needs to be made.

Details of your child's attendance will also be given to you at least twice a year.
